TST WATER JET SAFETY CLOTHING FROM JETTING SYSTEMS

Newly launched at IFAT 2012 will be the range of PrOperator water jet safety clothing, designed to provide protection against water jet injury up to 500 bar pressure.

In many countries it is already a safety requirement that appropriate protection should be worn when working over 200 bar/3000 psi, but until now there has not been functional and comfortable safety clothing available. Our experience from designing ppe for use at extremely high pressures has been the basis for our new range of PrOperator clothing.

The risk of serious injury when high-pressure cleaning even at pressures of 200 bar is generally underestimated, the wounds may initially seem benign but the possibility of skin penetration leading to serious infection can be very serious if not treated properly.

The PrOperator range is CE certified, is waterproof and dirt repellent both inside and out and features a similar DSM Dyneema® protective inner layer to that of the UHP product range. The clothing is comfortable and light in weight, as flexible as ‘normal’ outdoor wear and has a host of useful practical details for storage of tools and identity cards, all with waterproof zippers.

The PrOperator range is available in the form of Jacket with Hood, Trousers or as a complete Overall with Hood. The protective area is clearly indicated by the addition of stripes on the garments and by an external label indicating the protection level.
